What is the typical run time for T-Mobile's GS3?

i dont have a screenshot handy, but I leave my phone with Wifi calling enabled at work (in a basement with no cell) and I easily get 18-20 hours out of my phone (light use). Wifi calling has been a total blessing, I LOVE that feature. No idea why other carriers do not adopt it.

Screen Cracked, need to retrieve data.

if you use samsung kies software, it lets you do a backup without interacting with the phone. at least that worked for me. Kies - Sync Media, Contacts & Calendars Across All Devices | Samsung

    Wi-Fi Calling settings

If you aren't walking in and out of Wifi coverage in your house, I would leave Wifi preferred on. I've found the call quality to be better, as well as having greatly improved battery life. It actually disables the cell radio. I don't have any links handy, but I can tell you with certainty that...

Nexus S, Honeycomb, and the touch sensitive buttons.

Honestly I think Android phones could do with less haptic buttons. It totally gets in the way of gaming and ergonomics. 1 or 2 physical buttons to take you home/back would be sweet.

    lock button

its actually a fingerprint scanner built into the sleep wake switch so you can lock/unlock your phone without entering a password.

    keep Nexus S or switch

For the new user on T-Mobile, I would honestly recommend the MyTouch 4G. It has a dedicated camera key, touch to focus/white balance and zoom in the excellent camera app. Wifi calling is built into the firmware, and has some good video calling options already. Now, if you feel that you're...

Buy Nexus S NOW or WAIT?

Absolutely. The Nexus phones will always be the first to receive Android updates. Its the main selling point when purchasing these "Pure Google" experience phones :) "Nexus" phones receive straight Android Open Source Project (ASOP) builds, with small modifications just to fix hardware specific...

Photos taken with your Nexus S

If there is one thing I had to pick that I did not like on the Nexus S it would have to be the camera. Its not the sensor that is the failure here, but the stock Android camera software. We need stuff like tap to focus/white balance to really get the photos where we want. Its too bad the...

Buy Nexus S NOW or WAIT?

Actually the Nexus S comes with a T-Mo sim in the box. Kind of handy! :) Also, I don't think you can go wrong with the NS. I'm very particular about my phones and I've found this to be the best Android experience. The phone is very well built and feels more solid/weighty than the other Galaxy S...

    This or Aria?

I've been using the Defy (t-mobile's version) for a few days and I can safely say that its performance will surprise the hell out of you. The GPU is very powerful, it runs games better than the new 2nd Gen Snapdragon in the MyTouch 4G. You won't be disappointed with this phone (other than the...

    Droid Pro 850/1900 3G Bands... Delicious :)

Every carrier has their plus and minuses. Verizon compresses the hell out of your voice and it seriously sounds TERRIBLE compared to all the other 3 carriers. Frankly I don't know how most people miss this, but I'm insane for having 3 different lines on different carriers, so I can immediately...

looking for a Wifi Calling/SMS review

After I wrote that i realized it was a poor choice of words. It's not too limited. The only downside vs Blackberry UMA is the fact that you lose the call if you wander out of wifi range. SMS messages also go through wifi so that's a plus. I did make one mistake in my mini review though, it...

looking for a Wifi Calling/SMS review

I just did a few calls on it and the call quality is incredible. Here is an overview: 1. It can be set to make calls over "Wifi preferred". This disables the cell connection once it establishes a Wifi UMA connection (this isnt as bad as it sounds). 2. It can be set to Cellular preferred, and...
