It is not a good call. Text notifications do not appear on the lock screen irrespective of those settings. Maybe if you pull down the notifications bar it works, but what's the point? T-Mobile is "sorry" that I have been "inconvenienced" by the update. But for the measly $3000 / year, all I get...
