I had the same problem. My solution was to just take out the SD card and put it in another reader. Still would be nice to know what's going on with that recovery though.

Thank you for this comprehensive and grammatically correct guide. What a rare treat on the internet these days. I have a question... Am I able to upgrade to GingerBread using GingerBreak with my 5 day old Optimus V on Froyo? Or do I have to upgrade to GingerBread, then use GingerBreak? Thanks.
