i have same problem as above using external charger and on screen which says failed to mount etc tried rebooting factory reset just goes back to start up screen what can i do without my charger port working if anything?

because my charger port is broken i use an external battery charger,after using my phone the night before i tried turning it on the next morning and all it gets to is initial screen (saying galaxys3) sorry do not know all the proper jargon,anyway have tried to reboot,factory reset and nothing...
