    One simple question

OK, that makes sense. Sort of like the different SD card configurations. Thanks folks! Edit: Looks like it might be easiest to just buy the thing outright at a Verizon store.

    One simple question

OK, trying to grok this...can I simply take the SIM in my current Verizon Droid Razr Maxx and put it in my new Nexus 6 then to switch phones? Please forgive my lack of education in cellular tech...

    One simple question

I wanted to buy from the Play Store because I wanted to buy it outright, sans contract of any sort. I planned to taked it into my local Verizon store and have them disable my current Droid RAZR MAXX and enable the new Nexus 6. I plan to use my Droid as my "insurance" policy rather than to pay...

    One simple question

If I buy the Google Nexus 6 from the Google Store, will it work on Verizon LTE, or will it only work with Sprint or T-Mobile?

The Nexus 7 (2012) Android 5.1 Lollipop Thread

Update from previous post... Been back on 4.4.4kk for over a week and not looking back (or ahead) at 5.1L...nothing against it, no ace to grind - just happy with what works for me.

The Nexus 7 (2012) Android 5.1 Lollipop Thread

Re: my Nexus 7 2012 and the 5.02L update, let's see: 1. Wiped System cache? Check. 2. Removed all home screen widgets and groups? Check. 3. Facebook? Rarely use it, but I deleted it anyway. 4. Factory reset? After all of the above failed, yes twice. After all of that, no joy and the...

The Nexus 7 (2012) Android 5.1 Lollipop Thread

Well, it sounds like I might be glad I flashed back to 4.4.4kk and will be avoiding 5.1L! After nearly smashing my N7 with a hammer in pure, repeated frustration (not to mention Google's silence) following it's ill-advised "upgrade" to 5.02L, I finally had to learn how to flash my machine and...

New problem after downgrading to 4.4.4KK...it wants to upgrade me again!

I appreciate all the help and insights! Thanks! Now I wonder if I can root my Verizon Droid RAZR MAXX....there's WAY to much vendor crap on that thing.

New problem after downgrading to 4.4.4KK...it wants to upgrade me again!

Well thanks! I am wondering if there is some way to back up what I have right now on my Nexus, to be restored later as is -- should I not really like the 5.1l? I already have the image downloaded so I could update it this evening, but I would like to have a fail safe so I don't have to...

New problem after downgrading to 4.4.4KK...it wants to upgrade me again!

Thanks for the reply...I MIGHT try 5.1L if I see other 2012 Nexus 7 users actually happy with it's performance. The upgrade to 5.02L was very painful to me, and render my Nexus nearly unusable and it would locked up at will. I mean seriously, I damn near pitched the thing into the trash it was...

Well that is a rolling target, but just now I am working on a Steely Dan repertoire including stuff from the Aja record, namely "Josie" and "Deacon Blues" . Oh yeah, sat down to noodle the other day, heard a stub of a riff from Badfinger's "No Matter What" and Viola!, out popped the song...

New problem after downgrading to 4.4.4KK...it wants to upgrade me again!

I just went through the process of flashing my Nexus 7 back to 4.4.4KK, and my tablet runs great again. I felt like a long lost friend had returned after my horrible experiences with 5.02L. In any event, my Nexus has now downloaded 5.02L (again) and is notifying me that I need to upgrade, but...

I am seriously ticked off at Google for basically "bricking" my Nexus 7!

Re: I am seriously ticked off at Google for basically "bricking" my Nexus 7! Rather than type out this procedure, I am providing a link to the YouTube video I used which was excellent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxkTG1--BVQ
