This has to be some kind of bug... Mine started doing this as well about a week ago, it's very annoying. The default setting keeps getting lost, so the choice keeps coming up.
Someone mentioned in another thread that this is related to a recent Google search update last week. Supposedly...
No, the exact opposite is going on here. When wifi calling is enabled and you are connected to wifi, I am pretty sure the phone is reducing the power to the cell radio, and that is why you see the bars drop, or no service altogether.
I think this is normal. If you have wifi calling enabled, and you are connected to wifi, there is no use for the cellular signal anyway. If you are seeing differences between phones, I would imagine it's because of the wifi calling settings.
Re: Proximity sensors activates, but doesn't turn off
I have run into this problem as well... The problem is that there is dust inside the glass in front of the sensor (look with a magnifying glass, you can see it). Fortunately, forcing air into the earpiece seems to help clear this out...
Best? That is going to be highly debatable for sure... I recently picked up a pair of Bose QC-20i after trying them at an airport kiosk. Not cheap, but the noise canceling works unnervingly well, they are comfortable, and they sound pretty good. They don't sound as good as my custom Westone 3's...
I'm on Tmobile and there is no indicator on the phone, but believe me, you will be able to tell without it, there is a huge difference in audio quality. It sounds like a Skype audio only call...

I have been using haxsync, which provides crystal clear Facebook photos... However, if you just want the photos clearer on the individual contacts page, turn your phone sideways, and now you will have a normal, square contact photo! Why this was setup like this is completely beyond me...
I went from 10-16 hours on GB to 4-6 at best with ICS. If I use slingplayer, the battery will go from full to dead in an hour. Unbelievable... It's as bad or worse than my EVO was at this point...
I don't think they are really running if they are listed there. I'm surprised how many items stay in that list... If you look in the task manager, they aren't all running.
You know what is really weird with the contacts? if you turn the phone to landscape, the contact photos are normal! Someone really screwed the pooch on the new contacts app.
I even had to install a new dialer because the ICS one no longer shows call duration in the logs...
I have no idea why that happened, but I did recently discover that Google implemented a restore function that will fix your problem. Log into your gmail on a computer, go to your contacts, and under the more menu select "restore contacts". Just pick a time before the problem started. All better!
I ran into the same problem. I just went to the google play site on my computer and downloaded it from there. It instantly pushed it to the phone even though the phone was getting errors on its own...
I have been a diehard Jawbone user for years, but the Era is an unreliable piece of junk. I have been through three of them, and it has finally been relegated to backup status. When the noise reduction works, its great, but sometimes it does nothing. Also, the "auto" volume control is more of a...
