Mine is problematic on all WiFi networks, regardless of which version of Android, or which factory/custom ROM I use. It starts off OK, then eventually has intermittent WiFi connectivity. Something is really messed up with the WiFi driver or hardware.

Yes, wipe data 3X, then wipe cache 3X. Get a GPS fix, install the DK28 modem first, then perform a complete DK28 install. As these posters have stated, this information is available in several other threads.
For the GPS, when you go back to DK18, first get a GPS lock and install the DK28 modem, and then the DK28 full install. That should take care of your modem issues. If not, install GPS Status and reset the cached AGPS data. See this post.
I recommend you wipe your data clean anyway when upgrading, as there may be some incompatibilities that you may not be aware of, and some software is written to detect the OS version and configure things according to that version, so wouldn't be configured correctly with a different version of...
Believe it or not, I went back to 2.2 as well.
2.1: No GPS issues. Doodle Bowling wouldn't start or behave reliably. MOG had a hard time connecting to the stream server. No problems with anything else really.
