EvolveSMS - best SMS app yet?

Android doesn't have notification bubbles, man. That's iPhone. You can do it with a third party launcher like Nova, but I know for Nova anyway you have to pay extra.

    Timely app complete uninstall

That's such a strange issue...even when I have Timely installed but set the alarm from the regular alarm clock app, I get the UI from the regular alarm clock app (which I prefer, so I get your issue). I'd try reinstalling the app, go to the app's page in settings, and clear data and cache from...

    Nexus 5 QuickCover

That's not what he's looking for, dude. To the OP: I have one, and you're right, it's pretty tough. I tend to start taking it off at the bottom, using my thumbnails to separate the bottom corners one at a time. Once you get both bottom corners separated, it will come off. You just have to...

    LG QuickCover users?

It's pretty much the same size at the Nexus 5...I don't get the question. Very slim case, nice feel over all. A few minor concerns: I feel like I over paid and I wish it said "Nexus. I also wish there was a magnet on the right side, it's occasionally annoying that the cover doesn't stay...

Well, I finally did it! Bought a Nexus 5.

Congrats! Welcome to the fold. Please, please, don't forget to turn off iMessage before you make the switch.

Also same problem. My brother tried three times to send me an MMS and I received nothing but blank texts. I have not changed any of my MMS settings from the default.

EvolveSMS - best SMS app yet?

I'm on Dalvik and it runs fine, no start up lag at all. I've heard the lag may have something to do with the number of texts or conversations you have. There is an archive feature included in evolve, if you have a ton and want to clean them up.

Agreed. Been using it for over a week now, no issues. Beautiful, simple, and clean. Can't ask for more. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Lockscreen Widgets

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. One of my number one features I wanted on 4.4 that I didn't get. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Anyone else concerned about his Nexus5 power/wake button?

Also in response to your original question, I've had phones with only the power button for a few years, and I've never had any concerns about them breaking. I don't worry about this one either. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Flashing Blue Notification LED

The Lightflow widgets are regular widgets, added to your home screen or lock screen the way any other widgets are. I have the one widget on my lock screen which simply clears all active lightflow notifications. I occasionally get a blinking light (of various colors) which I can't track down...

Google drops the ball with slow kikat rollout

That's actually why people ARE up in arms. This is not the way the Nexus program works. Should work. Ever has worked, by your own admission. The excuse that I can flash the factory image is also not valid. It's not the same as an OTA, and it's not meant to be. AND the excuse that it's hard...

Google drops the ball with slow kikat rollout

This is, frankly, BS. Google runs the Nexus program as their hardware, for their purposes. It shouldn't matter who makes it, and they even tout it that way.

Google drops the ball with slow kikat rollout

[Insult removed by moderator] There are two reasons people generally end up in the Nexus camp - either they want to hack the crap out of their phone without the restrictions of manufacturer and carrier or they've been beyond frustrated with rollouts of Android updates in the past. Many people...
