    7.0 worst update ever

When Samsung released their version of Nougat they managed to do the impossible. They somehow made the screen both incredibly sensitive and wildly unresponsive at the same time. Their hardware might be great, but their software is terrible. I'd never buy another Samsung product again. For the...

How is the Galaxy Tab S2 doing after a year or two?

I got my 8" S2 when they first came out. It originally had Lollipop. I installed Marshmallow which made it worse. For the last year or so it's been mounted in my car and I use it as my stereo. When Nougat came out I installed that. It's the worst of the three. I also installed Nougat on my Asus...

    Volume Warning

It didn't work for me. I use my S2 as my car stereo and it connects with Bluetooth. I have it restart automatically evey week, so once a week, when it reconnects with Bluetooth after restarting, I have to turn the volume back up and I see that ***** warning. I never saw it with Marshmallow. I...

    Still a good choice?

Also, The ASUS comes with Marshmallow (which I prefer, so I've turned off system updates), but there IS an update to Nougat. I've read on some sites that it's going to be getting Oreo, as well.

    Still a good choice?

I've always used Adaptive. I didn't even know there was a Basic. With Basic the colors may look a little more natural, but the whites have even more tint.

    Still a good choice?

I put the same video on both the S2 and the 3S and watched them side-by-side using MX Player at full brightness. The AMOLED screen has really black blacks, based on the black bars on the top and bottom of a widescreen movie, but the colors look over saturated. The IPS display doesn't have as...

    Still a good choice?

I like my ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 much more than my 8" Tab S2, but I bought the S2 when they first came out so it has the original hardware. It's a lot faster, the speakers are actually useful, it has 64GB of space plus an sd slot and at Amazon it's only $288.

Samsung moving to 4:3 aspect ratio from 16:10. Good or Bad?

4:3. I have my 8" S2 mounted over my stock radio and use it as my car stereo. Having a 16:10 in landscape mode would be too short to see anything. Also, why do people think 16:10 is better for movies? Because then there are no black bars? What if you're watching something that's 4:3 on a 16:10...

best way to change brightness on S2

Are you just looking for an easy way to turn the Auto brightness on and off? It doesn't get any better than this. Auto Brightness Switch

    7.0 worst update ever

I have an 8" Tab S2 (T710) that I installed Nougat on. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan... at all. One good thing though, the WiFi, which was complete **** with Marshmallow, works great now. Of course that just means it was a software problem that could have been fixed, but Samsung chose to ignore...

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 - Smart Stay missing

Smart Stay is under Settings/Advanced Features in Nougat.

    Simple Auto Bright App

That's how I have it, and I stand by what I said. Drag down from the top (1 click). Click drop down arrow (2 clicks). Turn Auto Brightness off (3 clicks). And if I wanted to be pedantic, swipe up to close (4 clicks). And then 3 (or 4) clicks to turn it back on. I think I'll stick with the 1...

    Simple Auto Bright App

Prior to Nougat it was very easy to turn Auto Brightness on and off. For some reason they thought, as an "update", a very simple thing should take 3x more steps. Long story short, the only thing this app does is turn auto brightness on and off, and you can put it down at the bottom so it's...

    Camera... 710 Vs 713

Thanks for the idea about the plastic still on the lens, but I made triple sure it was gone. The lens feels very secure. I use this in my car as my stereo and I notice a lot of "skipping" while playing songs that doesn't happen on my T710 while using the same player, GoneMad Music Player, and...
