Lg sucks. Will never buy a lg phone again unless it is a nexus. This phone has great hardware. But lg ditched it. The lg g2 released a year later is getting marshmallow update. But the g pro does not even get lollipop.
Dont know much about lg vista. But the g pro is an excellent choice. No issues whatsoever with data, cals or wifi. Plus the software is super stable especially after the kitkat update.
Use the stock file manager that came by default. They are not fancy but should fix your problem. You will run into this issue only when trying to write to sd card via user installed apps.

I use the class 10 32GB and 64 GB with my android phones and tablet. Been using them for almost a year. Works like a charm. You cant go wrong with sandisk.

After buying I have received 3 or 4 updates. Phone is still on jb 4.3 though. But I like the phone and its features. Do not miss kitkat. Xda support is there. Not sure what kind of support you are looking for. I would buy the oppo for the camera, sound and looks alone as compared to the nexus 5.
Is it possible that the drivers are not correctly installed on the PC you are trying on. Can you try the same process on a different PC?

Hi David,
Did you look at the XDA link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660 before? It exactly details the process to set E980 to stock. It also has a link to download the stock image file.

E980 is definitely ATT. Can you call and check with att? I see that some e980 users on att have successfully updated.

Hi Sarf, It should read 4.4.2. Else I believe the update failed. Since you tried recovery option I am not sure what happened.
