How can I lock or hide a folder on my Pixel 7 without having to set up a screen lock? All I've seen during my internet surfing is that one must first have a screen lock.

UPDATE: Sometime in early December 2025 I received an update that I applied to my phone. Apparently there is something in that update that resolved this problem. I no longer see any suggestions when I'm in the Photo app and tap Share. Hooray!

I think I fixed the problem by turning the backup function for videos and images off. Then I went through and removed all of the duplicate image files and now I have exactly what I want. Sorry I can't provide the details on how I fixed it, bue to my short near-term memory. I am getting used to...

With respect to my Gmail, I've looked at so many possibilities that I can't remember any of them, other than one of them fixed my problem. :)

Ok. I tapped Settings > Apps > Gmail and cleared the cache and the data, then restarted Gmail. The problem still exists.

When I tap Gmail > Menu, it sometime indicates there is email in some of the categories (Inbox, Sent, All mail, Spam, etc.) But when I tap one of the icons that is showing I have email in that category, it says Nothing in (category). Why is that? (I'm up to date with my updates.)
