My LG G4 is making terrible screeching noise when playing audio!

    1) I just discovered I can't get into SAFE MODE on my LG G4. That's because it is unocked via "USU" method, and that process takes over the original SAFE MODE key combination, putting you into the TWRP recovery instead. I don't know that there's a workaround for this. 2) I SOLVED THE PROBLEM...

SOLVED: Sony Xperia SP- Soft-bricked, can't get PC to recognize

UPDATE (SOLVED): Problem: I seemed to have experienced the infamous Xperia "Red Light of Death". Phone vibrated 3 times continuously when charged. Screen never came on. Led was only ever RED, and only came on sometimes, sometimes solid, sometimes blinking twice. Computers were not recognizing...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Won't Boot Into Home Screen

"Very much so sounds like hardware issue. Specially if you have already performed a wipe." Nope. Solved the problem by reflashing stock firmware via Kies. Easy peasy. ;)

"Authentication Error Occurred" on Wi-Fi yet modem is OK!

I did reboot the router, several times, to no effect. Want to know what solved the problem? Waiting! When I tried it again the next morning, it connected! Then I switched from WEP to WPA-PS2, and it gave me "poor signal" error once again (false error), and wouldn't connect. Then I deleted the...

"Authentication Error Occurred" on Wi-Fi yet modem is OK!

Thanks, but there's nothing in that guide that will help here. Remember, I said my Tab4 works on the same router with the same settings.

Why don't Android apps work after a reboot?

No, the apps are not taking all the memory. (The system takes the most memory). There's at least 80mb free well after boot. I just looked at "Llama". It's interesting, but it's really not the same type of app as AutomateIt. Its more location-oriented, and limited in its configurations...

Why don't Android apps work after a reboot?

My problem isn't running the apps or slowness, though. It's getting the apps to start when I restart the phone. So far, I have not noticed any of them being killed by the system. And I thought Android didn't really run out of ram (like Windows, etc), because of the fact that it swaps out apps...

Why don't Android apps work after a reboot?

Hi, I hope its clear that I am talking about ensuring that apps run after a *restart* or *power down*. I don't want "the system" to decide which apps I need to start on boot, I want to decide that. That's why I use "Autostart" to force the apps below, to start on boot. It would be a huge...

Why won't GPS and DATA turn off automatically?

I don't know if this is somehow the fault of the phone itself or software on the phone, but I can't get *anything* to automatically turn off GPS and DATA (but I can turn it off manually). I want them to turn off when the screen is off. None of my AutomateIt or Tasker scripts will shut it off...

Why don't Android apps work after a reboot?

I'm starting to realize, I DON'T get Android. There's either a deep flaw with this ecosystem, or I'm missing something. I just want to get apps to work but also -stay- working. I've been trying for days without success. Some will reload by themselves, some won't. Some will reload themselves...

    Can't mount system as R/W!

Uh-oh.... does putting the phone in fastboot mode not require an unlocked bootloader... (which as far as I know, is not available for this phone)?

    Can't mount system as R/W!

Well the fastboot commands didn't work in Terminal Emulator. The error returned is that the system is read-only. Installing apps that claim to mount the system as r/w didn't work either. Is the PC version of ADB slated to work where the Terminal Emulator wouldn't? (I ask because it's a lot of...

    Can't mount system as R/W!

I tried a fastboot command in the Terminal Emulator app... it wouldn't recognize the command. Does it need to be from a computer via the ADB shell? Interestingly.... I just discovered through a YouTube video that there appears to be a clockworkmod-type recovery on the device, that you can boot...

    Can't mount system as R/W!

Got a problem with my Huawei Y530, that I can't get past. It's running stock ICS 4.3. I rooted the phone but obviously, without recovery, since recoveries and custom ROMs don't exist for the Huawei Y530, far as I know. I am using the latest SuperSU Pro (4.6) for superuser, and "Root Checker"...

    Settings button disappears on Jellybean!

As mentioned, I know I can access the settings for 91 Launcher via gestures and such. But I do not want to have icons on my homescreen, and I prefer not to have gestures either (they are too easy to trigger). So I was hoping someone could explain to me why the settings for 91 was available via...
