Correct. The USC version posted does not have WiMax. If I built a version for the Design4g it would support Wimax.

Your right, I went back looking and it does only say the Design 4g. The phones are the same hardware so I hope that if nothing else porting it over will be easy.

It would be the same as the HeroS rom for now. Most the Sense bloat removed. Many HTC apps will still be there such as mail, contacts, phone, messaging, alarm, etc. But the launcher, widgets, and a bunch or bloat is removed.
