re: [CLOSED] Android Central Photo Contest: Transportation! Was working late at night, had to take a bus to the subway to the train. When I got to the subway, the service train rolled through. Never a good sign. Shot on my new Galaxy S8+ and proceeded in Snapseed.

Finally got my phone yesterday from my Best Buy pre-order, this is one of the first photos I snapped this morning on my walk to the train. Processed it in Snapseed before posting it to Instagram.

I seem to be having the same issue. My S3 was far superior focus on items very close. I have yet to get this phone to focus correctly on anything closer than 8-10". To be honest, so far after 10 days, I'm not very impressed with the camera. Attached is a photo I am happy with and the HDR...

I use NFC Task Launcher with TecTiles. I have a couple at home and at work. When I leave home, I scan the one leaving work that disables wifi, auto screen brightness, and vibrate for my train ride. When I get into the office, I scan the one that enables wifi and Bluetooth, changes ringer volume...

Try changing your "metering mode" for the camera. It is probably matrix. Change it to spot. The. Tap the area on the camera to focus, where you want the camera to adjust its exposure for, such as your son's face. Hopefully he will now be exposed properly. Let us know if this works. Sent from...
