It boils down to this... how much one can afford, what one wants/needs out of a tablet...how long one is willing to wait for the device that does it all... Food for thought...2nd generation KF will be out this year, perhaps even by summer. Rumors are it may have a camera and possibly 8.9 inch...

Been running this ROM for a month or so...just flashed the latest build the other day. No issue's aside from YouTube, can only play the SD version of videos...other than that it's been a reliable daily rom for me :cool:

There is really nothing you can do to your fire that someone else hasn't already done and found a fix for. My advice is to do plenty of reading prior to doing anything to your fire. xda is a good source as is google and you tube. I rooted with the kindle fire utility and flash all roms with...

Since the OP was asking how to root the device I doubt mobile odin would work. I think you need to be rooted first in order to use that app.:eek:
