I've had the same issue. I was able to semi-resolve it by restarting the phone while having it connected to my monitor through the USB-C thunderbolt 3 cable. Reason for saying semi-resolve is that sometimes it works, other times it does not.

Guys that's right, I posted the info, as I came across this problem the second day of usage. I guess what can be done is capture the packet coming from chromecast or via a mac address reroute the traffic from your router to force the usage of a smart dns. I think that a mod for the device...
