Assuming happasaiyan is correct, the back is not a speaker, contacts for add on modules (they do look metallic). Maybe something like LGs camera module or extra battery? Agree, they do not look good - thought Osterloh leaving might be a bad sign, guess it was. Looks like I am all in for Nexus...
