After a factory reset the batt life is now better on pie. Should've done it right off the bat.

No I didn't do a factory reset. Just a straight upgrade the day pie came out. May spend the rest doing a factory reset after a back up. Cheers :)

I have noticed that battery life is a little worse on Pie.

They're potentially quite high if there are nasty people uploading on there. I have the feeling the people doing such for a phone like the ph-1, would be genuine enthusiasts and geeks, who wouldn't have the desire to harm someone's device so I've taken the punt using the apks. Having said that...

I find the stock, out of box launcher to be fine. I'm quite a minimalist though :D

I still feel that sideloading the pixel camera is the best bet.
