    Should I buy a Xoom?

@jerryduncan52 I have an idea. Why don't you give your "trash" to PRW94? It obviously means nothing to you.

Verizon XOOM 4G LTE getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Seems that mine also now has the "upgraded" Google Maps - making at least that valuable app less usable than before. Also, whereas a mere touch at the edge of the screen (in landscape mode) would page to the next screen over, this now seems to no longer work for me, requiring a swipe of nearly...

Verizon XOOM 4G LTE getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

In case some might not have gotten the word. About time. Still, I continue to use my Xoom on a daily basis despite all of it's supposed "lacking". Solid, and gets the job done. I'm still one happy owner, since Feb 2011. Verizon XOOM 4G LTE getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean - Android Community

    Xoom will not turn on

When you say "dead", I assume you mean that even hooked up to power it will not turn on at all (including the power+vol-up button fix)? Or, does it operate only if connect to external power, and the battery seems to not be charging (but tests as being in good operating condition w/ Super...

HBO go for kindle: WORKING on xoom! APK ATTACHED

I was not allowed to purchase the app from the Amazon app store on my Xoom - but I found that I could go to the App Store on my PC and purchase it, even though it was incompatible with all my registered devices. After that, I could get HBO GO (which I had installed from the apk - thank you for...

    Dead or disconnected battery?

Yes, it did re-occur - multiple times. I eventually set it to Moto for repair. But, I did discover a "fix" that worked in my particular case. If I pressed firmly on the front bezel near the point that the power contacts would be, with a little bit of "fiddling", I could get it to power back on...

Are they ever going to release ICS for LTE

As one of those who have not (yet) rooted my LTE Xoom and flashed ICS, I wanted to second this comment from ChuckG73. While I am confident that I could successfully follow the steps outlined in the guide posted at the top of this forum, I do not relish the idea of having to do so much work...

Is anyone planning on switching to the new ipad?

Now, there are apparently a number of owners of the new iPads who are complaining about poor WiFi connectivity and rather limited range for WiFi. Have you noticed this as well? A quick test you might try would be to try the OG and the new one side-by-side (as it seems some of those complaining...

Is anyone planning on switching to the new ipad?

Well, for anyone who IS contemplating getting a new (not 3) iPad; it seems it's catching some heat. Er...It's making some heat: iPad Overheating Problem: Users Report Uncomfortable Heat In Apple's 'iPad 3'

Is anyone planning on switching to the new ipad?

That iPads are being adapted to enterprise use faster is more likely a manifestation of their higher over-all popularity. If Google, et.al. would have actually put some effort into the application end, Android devices, given that they are even more easily adapted due the open nature of the OS...

Is anyone planning on switching to the new ipad?

I might be the only one who feels this way, but one thing that would be a huge inducement to get me to move to a different tablet would be a larger screen size. Now, it seems that Lenovo is planning a 13.3 inch (I saw another article that put it at 13.1) Windows 8 Tablet Lenovo to launch first...

Is anyone planning on switching to the new ipad?

You've compiled a rather good list of things readily available with even a year-old Xoom running Honeycomb, that the new iPad still doesn't provide (out of the box). To the USB connectivity, I would add that although I purchased a bluetooth keyboard, I still find it far more convenient that...
