There is only two things I hear people complain about when coming from a bb, battery life and a physical keyboard. I came from a bb storm so I was already use to the keyboard but the battery life is significantly less. But when you look at all this device does and does very well you cant blame...

Where exactly are you having a problem, what way are you trying to root. I know Gingerbreak was the easiest way for me, the instructions are here How To: Motorola Atrix 4G Root - BriefMobile.

I believe you have to root the phone then enable side loading for it to function correctly.

have you given any of the apps in the market a try, many of them are really good.

Ken over on XDA has gotten a beta copy of the update and is working on it right now, but as it stands they fixed the "hole" that gingerbreak was using to gain root.

ok, so kinda figured out what was wrong. It actually looks like a hardware issue. This morning it was acting a little buggy so i decided to pull the battery and then it wouldn't boot for nothing. It said "failed to boot, starting RSD support". So I plugged it in to RSD lite and it wasn't...

Ya i meant 26, there is alot of gossip with the official gingerbread being released within a month or two. So I think I am going to go to stock form, with root and sideload then just wait for the ota gingerbread.

So I can use this with RSD lite. I don't have to go back all the way to 4.1.2.6?

Thanks for the response, might just have to go back to 1.27 and start from the beginning. Hate to have to do that for one feature, but it is going to bug me if I don't. Unless I can manually start the DOCK SELECTION app, since it doesn't start when I plug in the HDMI cable.

some one has to be running gingerblur, can you just open up your build.prop file and scroll down to the line that says ro.hdmi.default.app= and tell me if you have something after the equals sign. Please it is located in the /system folder. This is driving me crazy, it is one stupid feature...

Ok so I got gingerblur 3.5 running on my atrix. But I have a problem, I cant get the Entertainment center to work so I can view stuff on my TV. I downloaded the gingerblur-entertainment-center-zip and applied it using the cwm recovery. But it still will not launch the entertainment center...

Loaded Gingerblur last night, so limited amount of time with it but WOW. Not only is the battery lasting longer, but I noticed it charged faster than before. Over all speed of the phone is probably faster, I say probably because it was so fast before I don't know if what I see is actual...

I need to do more research on what it takes to recover from bricking my phone before I will make the jump to a custom rom. I don't want to put gingerblur then something go bad and I am stuck with out a phone while I desperately search for the right proceedure of reflashing the OE rom.
