It has been frustrating trying to figure out this issue, and I appreciate everyone sharing their experience. Thank you, bscherka, for the detailed information. I have disabled the 'auto download message' until a more permanent fix is found, and so far it seems to be working.

I have been experiencing the same issue the past few days. On some emails the text will be visible for only a few seconds and then go blank, with no way to retrieve the text without logging into Yahoo mail via the internet browser or on my PC. This is happening using the HTC mail application...
