I hope to do this when the Note III comes out. Mom switched to the shared plan because she almost exclusively uses her iPhone on wifi in a big city. I'm out in the sticks and need data to drive places, thus I want to keep my unlimited plan. I'm looking forward to getting a new phone!

The folks at B&N said it doesn't work as of yet (a week ago) but who knows. They aren't necessarily the ones in the know. Or maybe they were just trying to get me to buy a 32 from them? I didn't, anyways.

Welp, they updated me. Guess it's time to start looking at rooting.

I'm not rooted but I've been playing around in Es. In the system/etc/ folder there is one called bluetooth. Any way to play around with those .conf files? I obviously don't know the first thing about it, but I know folks were using the hidden bluetooth on their nook colors with cm7 or the like.

I would imagine they will provide you with the preferred method of rooting when you buy. But it will probably be the second one and you pick up in the steps after he makes the sd card. I'm curious why I (and you) have not been forced into 1.4.1 yet.

I've been sideloading like a fiend. I just got one and it has 1.4.0 and it hasn't been updated (or rooted). I know I won't be able to download forever but I figure this will last me for a while and then I'll root. Hopefully by then the bluetooth will be unlocked! Don't give up just yet! Root!
