I ended up with a Motorola Think Phone. I like it fine, and think I will be happy with it. But the Nokia thing is bothering me. Seems everywhere else I research it, AT&T users (and Cricket like on this thread) had no problem. Wonder if the radio was bad? If so, that is a missed opportunity...

My V60 has been retired to a Wi-Fi, music machine. But that last update had a 50-50 effect for me. The connectivity, web browsing, and upload/download speeds were all outstanding, but I noticed some of my apps were spotty. But I sure loved my LGs and will miss them.

Just activated a Motorola Think Phone on AT&T... and it took several days before the 5G became stable. It was all over the place at first. But now the 5G - which is fairly new here in central IL- never leaves the phone. How is it now?

So I had to send back the unit I bought. After several attempts, I could not get it to work with AT&T. Super bummed. Having to come up with a back up plan. I do appreciate you responding to me and giving me insights. I was looking forward to using this.

Yeah..... I have decided to upgrade. From my G8 to the V60. Then I intend to use it until the screen implodes and the frame turns to dust. I guess when the security patches quit, I will be forced to another manufacturer. Until then I will bet the V60 will run like a fine swiss car.

LG promised they would do better at supporting their devices. AT&T accepted criticisms about failing to get timely updates out. Looks like they are both trying to be good to their words. I am pleased.

My guess is that it is because it is unlocked. Operating on a network does not mean Big Red is paying attention to your phone. Verizon branded phones have those specific IMEI number, and those receive the updates that LG submit to the carrier, who have to approve them before they go to the...

Just as an update.... Gave it a day (dusted off my old V20) and tried firing it back up. Like everything else about this strange series of events, it now is back to it's usual, fun device self. Fired up, and works perfect. I do not get it, but I like happy endings.
