If I have the zagg hdx and a spigen tough armor, do i basically have to choose between a good screen protector and a good case?

I just got the zagg hdx and the spigen tough armor. When I put the case on, the corners of the zagg started lifting. Never had this happen before. I'm getting a new zagg for other issues (debris on sticky side when it came out of the box), but don't want out to happen with next one when it arrives
