Would you try after uninstalling Google Fit? I had a similar experience and was shocked by the amount it consumes battery...

I had the same issue on the Asus Zenfone 2 after the latest OTA update. Only worse. Like down to 60% from full charge in 5 hours with no use at all (at night while I was asleep). When I factory reseted the phone everything went back to normal. Until I reinstalled my apps... It was 5.0.0 I guess...

Sounds pretty amazing to have such a luck. Can you provide us with pictures of the faults you mention with the phone you have now? I'm one of those cursed people who notice others don't, so I'm kind of curios...

I don't know what they're trying to achieve by releasing a 16GB-flagship at this age (I do know in fact, but I feel sorry knowing). Everyone knows a 32GB variant -somehow- will be released sooner or later. Probably at the same price, this one is right now. Is it the easy way for the second 2014...

It doesn't sound liable to me, but just because the consequences would be terrible. Disastrous probably... That date sounds like time for the new model. Skipping a model is just so big a failure for such a brand. Unacceptable... Hoped to get my hands on a 32GB variant by that time, now it kinda...
