Honestly I don't care after the GNex, at least for another two years. I'm mildly interested to see Intel's foray into the Android marketplace, but not so fascinated as to shell out an exorbitant amount of cash to get my hands on the finished product 8 months sooner.

Root it, problem solved. As long as doing this didn't push back the release date, I really don't care. Also, you're a tad late to the party.
