Thanks Chet, I'm going to look into new battery to hopefully tide me over till Note 8. Was going to get a Note 7 but that went poof, now waiting for Note 8. I'll miss my Note 4 for its removable battery.

Thinking or hope it's just battery. My 2 year old Note 4 original battery dies at anywhere between 20 to 40 percent battery life. Was told might be a software issue. What's anybody else experience with this. If is battery what brand battery did you replace it with and are happy with it.

Samsung should put Note 5 back in production, give it SD Card storage, a chip and battery from S7 line. Drop USB-C for now and iris scanner and rebrand it the Note 6 at a lower price than the 850+ Note 7, like 650 700 ish. I myself would buy it.

Curious about what Samsung plan is for returned defective note 7. I'm pretty sure but correct me if I'm wrong, a manufacturer cannot sell a used device as new. But what about devices that were stock piled or the devices that carriers never sold and sent back to Samsung. Will samsung take them...

I got the Note 4 couple years ago and it came in orange box minus ear buds so I guess it's a wait and see. TMOBILE phones come in original box, don't know about Verizon or Sprint.

I'm planning on getting Note 7 after about a month of release. Hopefully AT&T doesn't put phone in generic orange box and steal the earbuds. I don't know why the box bothers me but I think a premium device should come in its manufacturers box, the galaxy S phone do.
