Really depends on what you want. If you like customizing your phone then android but if you don't want to tinker with any of that then probably ios. It also depends on how the os feels to you. Which one fits you.

My Verizon messages notification appears on AOD. Haven't noticed if anything else appears though.

Unfortunately not all apps will move over to the SD card. I recently made my 128 gig card into adaptable storage to avoid this.

I also love both android and iOS. I switch between the ges7 and a 6 plus.
