My droid2 has started making a beep - just one but pretty loud - at midnight..every day. I suppose it could be one of the apps I installed, but none of them are set to cause a beep at midnight. Any suggestions on something I can do to figure out what's causing it (other than uninstall everything)?

I've started seeing spontaneous reboots every other day or so, usually while the phone is idle and the screen is off. Any tips on debugging? Is there an equivalent of a /var/log/messages or something I can look at without rooting?

After a fresh reboot I notice a number of services/apps running that I don't use. How can I disable these from starting? As far as I know I can't uninstall apps that came with the phone, but does that mean they always have to be running? These include: Amazon MP3 Backup Assistant City ID...

Widget Locker is awesome! Thanks for the tip. Love the ability to turn on with any hardware button and unlock with the camera button! And no more slider lag either. Cool app..worth the $2.

Actually the unlock lag bothers me too. Swiping across the screen to unlock should be a lot smoother.

Happens intermittently for me too. But always manages to make a connection after a dozen or so "I'm off..I'm on..I'm off..I'm on" iterations.

I found this confusing as well. Maybe there are things that backup assistant backs up that aren't synced to the Google account? Sure hope someone here knows.
