Talked to Samsung support today. Sounds like they are very aware of the problems with 5.0 and are working on a update to address them. :D

Thanks for the response. Tried both of the camera apps. Powercam only had one option, to write to the internal storage. FV-5 had option to save to a folder in my SD card but when I took a picture it says unable to write to location and switches to internal storage. Using a S4 GE 5.0 unrooted.

It is my understanding that with lollipop app developers now have to option to save to SD card. Was wondering if anyone knows of any camera apps that have taken advantage of this.

Got 5.0 and not liking no silent mode and my cell reception and battery life is worse than before. I had heard when 5.0 came out that would be our last update. Has anyone confirmed if we will get 5.1?(not interested in rooting)

This happens every-time. I wake up my screen. Then slide to unlock. Then the phone won't register my first press on any app icon. Registers every press on screen after the first one without fail. Any ideas?

Got a email back from the Google play supervisor. He heard back from the higher ups and this issue will not be fixed, the code to allow writing to the sd card was taken out of the 4.3 update on purpose by Google. I sent him a reply email will let you know if I get any more news Thanks guys...

May have to do this if all else fails. They told me when I called the play store that rooting voids the warranty is that true? I have no experience with rooting is there much chance of bricking your phone with this method? If you could give me a link to this method and any tips for a total noob...

It also says MicroSD card only compatible with select third party applications. Not compatible with Google services. Now the sd card is not compatible with third party applications. So I have some good news! Called play store support number again today and after being told they have nothing...

For me the biggest problem with apps not being able to write to the external sd card for me is camera apps. The only camera app I found that had the option to save pictures AND videos directly after taking them to the sd card was "camera jb+" Which worked great before the 4.3 update. Right after...
