Correct me of I'm wrong, but I believe the app needs to install additional components not in the app in the Play Store. When downloaded through the app itself it then needs permission to install.

Are you using the stock messenger? I had the same issue on ATT. When I switched back to stock it fixed it, I think... The problem is I would never know if I didn't receive a text message.

I had the issue to... After I realized it, I deleted Android Messages and the issue stopped. I don't know why this is happening, but it might have something to do with advanced messaging and it not being optimized for other text messaging apps.

I'm not sure about EMUI 4, but in EMUI 5 you can do it but pressing the lock button in the recent app switcher.

The only thing I've noticed is HiCare is now an app, but hopefully battery optimization is included in the update.

Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded the update. I'm not sure, but i think the notification banners are different as well, they are rounded off at the edges.

I agree about the screen. I dropped my phone 4 times from about 3 feet. Not that I'm clumsy, but rather a slippery phone mixed with a short charging cable equals a fall from my night stand lol. I've since used a longer cord to avoid these incidents. :/

I think they're both about equal. In low light, the Moto is definitely brighter and slightly sharper, however, it tends to blow out highlights and wash out areas where the light is. As a result, the Honor tends to capture more details in an image. However, in virtually no light the Moto...
