I had that problem a while back. Go in to contacts and make sure you are on contacts and not favorites. then tap you settings button( which is your lower left button when facing your phone).Then tap on contacts to display, so you can try and see where it is coming from and go from there.

My wife had that problem. she went and had them change out the sim card. also it could be the tower close to you being upgraded.

have you tried check you contacts? the day after i got my phone i found a flaw in my contacts. If you have multiple accounts, check to see which ones are check marked and then go into contacts and then check favorites and so forth.what happen to me was my niece tried to call me and she could not...
