it is worth it.. the repair is not that bad to do.. you can always send it off to a shop or bring it to you and have them do it.

have you tried re flashing the device ??? The touchscreen drivers are built in the kernel.. If that does not work yes, you most likely need a new digitizer.

I fix about 10 of these a day without any issue... did you remember to take the plastic tabs off of the bottom of the old digitizer which are under the home menu back and search buttons and re adhere them to the new one ?? These are a requirement for alignment and for the bottom buttons to work
