Found the answer...settings > more networks >mobile networks> uncheck mobile data.

Not exactly sure where I should post this.. I have a Verizon Samsung S5 and will be traveling to Peru in October. I plan to use my phone as a WiFi device to make calls (Vonage/Skype). It may be glaringly obvious but how do I turn off the data component of the phone? I do not want well-meaning...
