Data Plan Question - Pro/Con to choosing anything over 1GB

Coming from Verizon, where my wife and I shared a family plan and 4GB of data, we would frequently come very close to our 4GB every month (even with using wifi at home and work), to the point that I would split the data and cap it on our phones via the Data settings (60/40 split between my wife...

    Call/text forwarding

While it may not work for you, Mattsican, I've found a better solution, at least for me, and it might benefit others that stumble on this thread. I've installed Mighty Text on my Verizon phone and downloaded the tablet version of Mighty Text onto my rooted tablet and then pulled the apk out of...

    Call/text forwarding

I can confirm that FREEforward works pretty well. The only drawback is that you don't see your outbound messages on the phone you use all the time if you are replying to texts that came in on your "leave it at home" phone as the "leave it at home" phone number (please pardon the terms... they...

    Call/text forwarding

I'm in the same boat with a Verizon contract that is up in January and my 6p scheduled to arrive today for Fi. I thought I'd give a couple of apps a try, one being "FREEforward" which uses data but allows me to reply to texts received on my other phone as that phone #. The other is "SMS Call...

How can I move photos to my SD card?

Re: Photos to SD card On an unrooted and updated S4, ES File Explorer, XPlore and others may not be able to move the pics to the SD card due to KitKat restrictions on it's use. The built in file explorer ("My Files") DOES have the ability to move those items to the SD card since it's a stock...

Dumb question: how do I keep the phone from ringing at work?

Many apps allow you to set up automated tasks based on conditions. I've used Timeriffic before but my preferred app is AutomateIT. You can set simple rules that say when you are at work (based on GPS or Cell Tower connection) to set to vibrate. You would then set another rule that says when...

Galaxy S4 running very hot and draining battery FAST.

I started having this issue after installing the latest Verizon Galaxy S4 update. It had gotten so bad that I'd gone to the trouble of purchasing several 6000mAh backup batteries and a Mophie Juice Pack. I don't know if it's the OS update or recent updates to other apps or a combination. What...

When timer set, no notifications show on the watch

I have this same issue. As a diabetic I frequently have to set a 2 hour timer and not getting my notifications during this 2 hour time is not really an option. I've had to start setting alarms rather than timers.
