If anyone is looking at this thread, I had the same problem. The internal charging port wears out, and has to be replaced. Be aware, that the port and cable is different for the Verizon version and the wifi version of this tablet. All the chinese replacement cables I found are for the wifi...

Is there a way to downgrade the Android on this device to 4.3? I really need the VPN capability. Is there any app that would do the VPN instead?
