I have had several OnePlus phones including the current 13. I never felt that the updates were lacking. In fact I think that by releasing them 6 times a year gives them time to squash as many bugs as possible so that there are fewer problems with the updates.

Best way to keep everyone happy is to DELETE ALL OF IT - EVERYTHING - EVERY HOLIDAY, OBSERVANCE ETC., ETC., ETC.! If you want, or need to remember a certain day/date then put it in your own calendar. End of problem.

The OnePlus 13 beats them both in so many ways it's not even funny! I had the S24U (not the 25U) and I had the Pixel 9 Pro XL 1 TB. The OnePlus is better! No contest! YMMV

If you want to get even "closer" to perfection while saving a few hundred dollars... get the OnePlus 13. It blows the S25U away! Period!

I agree wholeheartedly! In fact, I think it's the right thing to do OOB! I always turn off all notifications for the lock screen! It is a security issue! I do not want to pull my phone out of my pocket with a list of notifications plainly visible to everyone within eye-shot! I can understand...

I am sure it IS a solid device. I never used a widget yet, and I have not typed a single note under any contact! So while I agree that the constant removal of features can be aggravating, I am sure there are simple work arounds for this particular complaint! YMMV
