I'm using the USB 2.0 ports on the front of my desktop and am still not getting anywhere. Same results as last time. I'm also having difficulty locating/installing the HTC drivers. I tried this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rn2ulJT7hw ...but my computer didn't even detect my phone...

My laptop is running Windows 8.0 and only has USB 3.0 ports. My desktop, on which I did the original root, has both USB 2.0s and 3.0s and is running Windows 8.1. If uninstalling and reinstalling HTC drivers doesn't work then I guess I'm pretty much screwed. ...sorry about the double post...
