Upgrade to Android 8.0 and Samsung 9.0

I recently cracked my screen and was sent a replacement phone. Galaxy S8+ on AT&T in the US. The old phone updated on schedule last month, but the replacement phone arrived running Android 7.0 and Samsung Experience 8.1. Nothing unusual about that. But I can't update it. I go to the Software...

    What Are You Upgrading From

LG G5. Yeah, I was one of the few. I just love being able to swap batteries and will miss that - and folks, though I never bought a "friend" and never wanted to, the phone is just fine if you ignore the modularity - but I'm super excited about upgrading to the S8+.

What launcher will you use on your S8?

I'll run with the native one for a while. After all, if we just install Nova on every phone, we start to lose what makes Android cool - that the experience is different per device. My reasons to go with G5 over S7edge

I got mine a few days ago for a lot of the same reasons listed in the OP. Feels great in hand (so good that I'm not looking forward to getting a case), not oversized, and I dig the wide camera and fun camera software features like triple shot. The S7 is a great phone. I'm not a hater. But I am...

LG G5 vs LG G4 camera

Video performance is TBD since we're pre-release. But I'd expect them to match the V10's video, which was what its entire launch was built around.

    Camera module battery

It's 1200 mAh for the one in the Cam plus and, independently, 2800 mAh for the stock battery. So if you switch it in and out all day (say, you're sightseeing and you use it about 25% of the time) you'd get 4000 total. They aren't in there together, but you could use them both to extend your day...

LG brings option for app drawer (with a catch)

Re: LG brings option for app draw (with a catch) Just saw that too. I'm thinking it means that since MWC, LG heard that the app drawer's absence was the biggest complaint and this is the way they could bring it back in time for the release date. I agree, it's an inelegant solution. But props...
