I would like an answer as well, As the whole thing is just a pain in the ****. I understand its there for some people as it can come handy, but at least make it optional for people who hate it.

It is not so much about moving the files, as not having the timeline all together. there seems to be no way to disable it. You can only clean the cache but eventually it will rebuild over and over. I dont want this stupid thing either showing anything regarding last accessed files.
