There is no gap on my device. It looks and feels great -- very solid. The symmetric bezels and screen are really nice. I am anxious to test Google Pay and the Pixel Stand. Reports of it waking up on super bright are concerning.

I already gave my Pixel 3XL to my daughter, but here is a poorly taken picture. Apps still downloading. Looking forward to playing with the camera on the 5. It is going to take me a while to get used to holding this phone because it is smaller and the speaker on the bottom is not front facing...

I had to uninstall, Q is too unstable for a lot of my work apps. I forgot I had to factory reset to roll back, still getting phone back to where it was.

I'm at 135, which is low for me. I've tried to keep junk if this phone, and I'm doing a reasonable job.

I am paying for more apps these days, and some for work are in the paid category. If I use them a lot and there is a paid option, I hate adds, so I pony up the few bucks. That said, most my apps are free, and don't even have a paid option.

For me it has always slid it on the side of the screen, as if coming from the volume button. It still does now.

I leave mine on, normally charging. My do not disturb is automatically set to be on from 11p to 5a. Only an important notification would make it through, basically a call from immediately family that may need me.

Wait until next security update to see if it spontaneously resolves or resolves from update.

Have you rebooted the phone to take care of the messages app? I have not seen the behavior you describe. If reboot doesn't work, you may need to clear the cache. What phones have you used in the past. That may help with launcher suggestions. Nova Prime is probably the most recommended on this...

It boggles my mind Google has not made these links yet. Helping information flow like this (organizing the world's information) used to be a strength. I'd like to see more attention paid to this and other examples of organizing my info.
