I think there is an option in the settings menu of HTC internet. Have a look in the accessibility options: There should be an option, if the website is responsible for controlling zoom or the browser. Standard setting is website, so that could be the matter why you're not able to control the zoom.

Since the update to 4.4.4 you must not enter the PIN anytime you switch back from airplane mode to normal mode. Prior to the update you had to enter the PIN every time you switched back. Posted via Android Central App
