Is anyone else finding when speaking to text, it no longer accepts spoken punctuation like "period" or "question mark"? This started when I upgraded from 7.1.1 to beta 8.1 on my Nexus 6P.

Not sure why Google Project Fi users are last in line for Oreo. That was part of the deal when purchasing, so I thought....that we'd get updates first. That seems to have been flipped on its head. Nexus 6P Project Fi 7.1.2 Still Waiting

6P, Fi, Nougat 7.1.2. I just received the August Security Update OTA (on 9/14). When I saw the notification, I thought for sure it was Oreo. Hmm.

I'm on Fi, Nougat 7.1.2, still no OTA update. My concern now is the wifi bypass bug in 8.0. Anyone know the latest with this bug? I LIVE on wifi, and can't have my data consumed by a bug.

"...and Google Photos still gives Nexus 6P Owners unlimited storage." Keep in mind, the 6P offers unlimited "Hi-Res" photos, while the Pixel XL offers unlimited "Original Format" photos. Big difference there.

Anyone having issues with Data Saver? I checked off a couple of apps I want the notifications for, and have Data Saver on. However, I'm still getting all the notifications for apps that I don't want to see while on carrier.

My prior phone on Lollipop would show the running time of a phone call. It appears either the 6P or Marshmallow does support this. This is very inconvenient for me. Why would they remove this? Am I missing something?

I answered my own question. I found the setting to disable SMS and Project Fi messages, meaning SMS nor vmail messages would route to Hangouts. Now the phone app only is notifying of new vmails.

Upon hearing that Hangouts is going away from SMS, I decided to use Messenger again as my default SMS app. I then thought, I should stop using Hangouts for my vmail notification. Right now, both the phone app and Hangouts notifies me of a vmail. I only want the phone app to notify me now. In...

bjrosen, Seems on Sygic you can ONLY enter a specific address, like a typical GPS. This makes sense because it isn't looking at data. For instance, I can't search for McDonalds, only the address of McDonalds. In this case, I would need to first find the address online. I'm so used to Google...

Well, that's not very convenient! If I have a map downloaded, why would I need to use data? I'm trying to preserve data on Project Fi.

Attempting to use Google Maps offline on my 6P. I downloaded an area, no prob. However, is there any indicator that you are using downloaded map versus carrier data? I can't see any indication. I'm concerned that I may be using data. Anyone have thoughts?
