Assist seems to have blown up for everyone last night. It killed off the battery on both of my Moto X's. The Moto X's are running different firmware but it got both of them. A reboot does not fix it, it must be stopped.
I've got two Moto X's, one screen could be described as slightly pink as you describe, the second has absolutely no pink at all. The screens do vary so if you're unhappy you could try having it replaced.
Should be able to get it fired up again, not sure about saving the data though. I'd recommend a full reflash using rsdlite as was suggested a few posts back.
I've won a 5 dollar play credit off of kitkat.ca, no nexus 7 so far though. I'll keep trying. On the kitkat.ca website you can just enter the UPCs of the bars as I don't think they bothered to repackage any of the bars in Canada.

Something is wrong with your Moto X, they were connected using different bands or the signal level is simply incorrect on one of them. It may be possible to be a few db different but not 10db(which is equal to a signal ten times stronger)
I think it depends on your provider and the firmware version. With my XT1058 (rogers firmware) I can tether using the native app. It works via wifi, bt and usb with no additional software needed.
Its only touchless when the screen is on, it doesn't have the "always listening" feature.
The Moto X rules all, its the most forward thinking phone on the market. Motorola came up with a feature set and hardware package that nobody else has.
I can't help but wonder if there is a variation in the glass from different batches. Perhaps the protective coatings were poorly applied on one batch or the glass itself is not as hard as it should be.
I have the Android slingplayer app (phone version) running on both a N7 2013 and a Moto X cell phone. If I run the slingplayer app for an hour non stop or so the Nexus 7 will appear to still run fine but during scrolling in chrome etc you will see the screen tearing or lagging. When you scroll...
