My N4 charges pretty slowly in the car charger for some reason, to the extent that it barely gains charge if I'm listening to a podcast or using Maps whilst driving. However, when I charge it using a 240v supply the fast charging time still catches me out (I try not to always fully charge it)...

Thanks for the replies all. I did have "Automatically Cache" checked so have now undone that and deleted the data so am starting again with a clean cache. It will be interesting to see if the auto cache affects performance in any way, but I know that the data delete hasn't fixed the incorrect...

Slightly off subject but on topic - my wife has an Orange San Diego which lost nearly 40% of its charge in 10 to 12 hours today with no usage at all. After a quick look at the battery stats I also conclude that Maps is the most likely source of the high battery usage. I just turned off the GPS...

Not that I'm aware of, other than trying a different battery monitor app - although some of those can be the actual cause of the drain they're supposed to be monitoring (although they never seem to tell you that).

Have you considered that a sudden drop might be to do with the battery meter rather than the battery? I used Gsam Battery Monitor on my One X and found that it sometimes "stalled", the battery not dropping after being on standby for an hour or so, then when I used an app the monitor suddenly...

It happens on all media players on mine, Pocketcasts, Play Music and Amazon MP3.

I live and work near to Wolverhampton in the West Mids. I did a further speed test on wifi and the HSPA is over twice as fast as that, so pretty decent (plus BT Broadband is a bit rubbish I find). Steve.
