I wanted to come back update the situation. I took the phone into sprint I simply told them that it would not boot. they took the phone from me and asked no further questions. The techs tested it ... they couldn't get it to boot charge or do anything else for that matter so they replaced it on...

The only thing I can suggest regarding the reception you could try flashing but different radio file. Sometimes the older radio files work better I'm particular devices I would just recommend switching it up and see what works best for you and your device. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Android...

The Sprint connection optimization uses GPS and triangulation to determine your location. When you are near the location where you have connected to wifi it will reactivate wifi. Turning off connection optimizer will solve the issue ... not sure where to turn this off on HTC Evo 4G. Sent from...

You need to find a flash back to stock image. And flash it via the computer with Odin. Also use triangle away to reset flash counter before flashing stock recovery. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3
