The problem may be any type of "Security App". In my case, it was TrustGo Antivirus & Mobile Security. As soon as I uninstalled it, everything worked as it is supposed to. Unfortunately, re-installing the app caused the problem to come back, so I had to remove it again.

re: Thanks! That seems reasonable, but I find it odd that they can figure out a way to access the encrypted password to unlock the device, but not the encrypted fingerprint. I think someone who develops these items should be able to come up with a creative solution for the 6.0.2 update!

The fingerprint sensor is fast and very sensitive. It works great, until the device is restarted. Then, instead of being able to unlock with a fingerprint, it says "Swipe screen to unlock". After swiping, this pops up: "Enter password instead of using fingerprint recognition after restarting...

Incessant Notifications in Google Keep! Since the most recent upgrade of Google Keep to version 3.1.204.00, I have note notifications popping up repeatedly and incessantly. I try to dismiss them, ignore them, edit the notes, but to no avail. I just have to wait till Keep gets tired of notifying...
