Yeah my iPhone did much better. The idle was so incredible. But besides that my s8 plus does everything else better. Hard to say good bye to that screen just because the battery sucks.

So I used to get 4hours of SoT with is bad. Now I sold my s8 olus and bought a dual SIM s8 plus. My new SoT is under 3 hours. How I wish I didn't complain before. Might be time to go back to my iPhone 7 plus.

Exactly. Had the same thing happening to my s7. Half the SoT as you guys claimed ! One last thing I can think of is that Instagram is draining my battery. I use the app intensely and check it at least a couple of times every hour. Maybe I could delete it off my phone to see what happens to my SoT

So I got a local SIM card to figure once and for all if everything that's happening is caused by the roaming + bad signal. Result: nothing changed ! I'm 50% down and only 1h38 of SoT! I knew this wasn't the problem. And since I've tried pretty much everything that all of us could imagine to...

erasat, I know you did, but remember, after you said that I tried to use my phone for a full day on airplane mode + wifi but i just got 4h30 instead of 4hrs of SOT. So I assumed this wasn't the issue. I ll try today or tomorrow the local sim card just because im out of options, but im not too...

Okay maybe you guys are right. Because I just bought a brand new s8+, turned off most battery draining feature, and today I still didn't make it past 4 hours of SoT!! So we can discard the deffectuous phone theory. And we can add that to the list of so many other things I tried and didn't work...

After those terrible results I've had, I decided to go and buy a brand new s8+. First disappointment came straight away: Half way through setting up the phone I had to put it to charge while some of you report having 5 hours SoT with just 5o% of battery out of the box on the first day setting...

I keep doing my best to add new tricks to save battery, and yet my phones battery keeps getting worse and worse ! Today I used 53% and got only 1h17min of SOT on my s8 plus The weird thing is that today the android system consumed more than the screen.

What's your thoughts on roaming ? I'm always roaming you think this is bad for battery ? Even if I have good signal?

I never thought of measuring my idle time. Maybe it will give me an indication as to what causes my drain. I will look into this tonight

Never did cause I don't know how. I don't if this means anything though but I rooted my phone last week and in the process I had to reset it to factory default and start from scratch. So I'm assuming that the cache was wiped at that moment ?
