Well, I had made a similar choice, and lost access to the system/default ringtones in my Lenovo A1000. Thanks to the tips on this site, I found the culprit: the app called: "Media Storage" by navigating to: Settings > Apps > All. Here I clicked "Clear Defaults". Now, I went back to "Audio...
