Black one doesn't stand up well to everyday use.

I saw a video on Youtube of someone who has a black One. He said he dropped it on accident and one of the corners chipped and the silver was exposed. It's definitely using a similar process to the iphone 5, so I would expect it to show silver underneath in the same manner. This would bother me...

Well, at least we know what he said was probably true then...

Wired's Review - "Rating: 9/10 Nearly flawless; buy it now"

You can get 15-25 mbps down on T-Mobile HSPA+. So no, it's not a big deal to most.

    Let's be honest here , who's trading in their X for s3?

You're getting image retention confused with burn in. The only thing I could see burning in on the Galaxy Nexus is the on screen menu buttons at the bottom because they are static and never go away unless you play a game or watch a video full screen.

Permanent burn in takes months to occur, not days. What you are seeing is image retention, which is normal for OLED and plasma displays. There's nothing you can do about it. It's inherent to the tech.

If your definition of cheap plastic is glossy then I guess so. Have you held it in you hand?

Absolutely, I prefer matte as well, but so many people still think the One X is using some higher quality plastic than the S3, which it's not. Also, you've got the issue with colors rubbing off/bleeding onto the matte white One X where the S3 doesn't have that problem. Neither is perfect.

    Let's be honest here , who's trading in their X for s3?

I didn't read this entire thread but I have to make a comment about the build quality of the S3. Some people here are saying the One X is better because it is made of polycarbonate plastic and Samsung is using "cheap" plastic. Samsung has come out and said the S3 is made of polycarbonate as...

It is obvious that the HTC One X is a better phone than the S3

Re: It is obvious that the HTC One X is a better phone than the S If the screen on the One X and S3 are pretty close in clarity I'm pretty sure the blacks of AMOLED will sway me in its direction. I can't get enough of that contrast it just looks so good. I haven't seen an lcd yet on a phone...

Looks like a taller version of the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 if anything.

Is anyone else disappointed with the design?

In either the podcast or one of the videos the Android Central guys said the S3 they were given to preview already had visible scratches on the back cover, and it was basically brand new. Yes, Samsung says it has a "hyper glaze" coating which is just marketing BS for shiny plastic. It's...

Re: It is obvious that the HTC One X is a better phone than the S Everything I've seen shows they are using the same camera sensor from the S2 in the S3.

Its a software release, hardware is dissapointing

If you live in the U.S. the Exynos debate won't matter since we're 99% likely getting the S4.

Is anyone else disappointed with the design?

Ya, I was hoping for something like this... In this design you could have fit a 4.8" 16:9 screen into the body of the 4.3" Galaxy S2. As it currently is, it is larger than both the One X and Galaxy Nexus, which are already bordering on too large IMO.

Is anyone else disappointed with the design?

As am I. After all the hype this was a total fail for me. -Pentile screen. Are you kidding me? Of all the rumors a Super Amoled HD+ was the most obvious of coming true. BGR said it was going to be a 1080p screen. While that was a stretch I'm very surprised they couldn't put out a 720p +...
